Puerto Rico's top grassroots leaders in cultural preservation, environmental conservation & economic development come together for this historic 1st Diaspora Summit in Puerto Rico, the Boricua Unity Festival, to welcome home the children of Borikén (Puerto Rico) scattered around the world. With our Daily Presentations, we invite you to meet grassroots leaders working in diverse sectors to overcome to the current challenges we face in Puerto Rico. Learn about their work and what you can do to get involved. With our Daily Unity Forums we invite you to participate in our daily brainstorming sessions. Be part of the shaping of the future to unite Puerto Ricans living abroad with Puerto Ricans living on the island and these grassroots projects and trends. You can participate in any or all of the week long activities. Each day is held in a different location around the island to invite more local participation and to give visitors a broad experience of the work going on all over the island. See our events page for the details about each individual day. We will be matching conference attendees with rides from location to location, if needed.

With each day, lunch is provided and all sessions will be bilingual translated in both English and Spanish. Suggested Donation is per day and no one will be turned away. $35 donation for non-residents; $10 donation with resident ID. Email  with any questions. The six day Boricua Unity Festival Pass (Monday - Saturday) for non-residents, is available at $180 in advance. Why is the suggested donation more for non-residents? The cost/suggested donation is based on the cost to produce this event, and the economic reality of Puerto Rico. We are in the midst of a severe economic crisis. The average salaries are the lowest for the United States and its territories. Further, because almost half of working age people are not formally employed, no one will be turned away. We can't wait to meet you.
